There is no hidden meaning in this sculpture. I think it just looks cool. Some think it resembles a seahorse, some think it resembles a treble clef. I have been searching for the perfect rusty wrenches for quite some time. The base and “spine” is an old table leg, or possible the leg of a piano bench. I purchased it along with several other interesting pieces of discarded wood from a church rummage sale in Riverside, IL. The old wooden saw handle fit perfectly when I held it up. I thought I might place an old bocci ball or something spherical here. The circular piece that looks like it could be a tail, is a chime harvested from an old clock. Finally, I added some old rusty screws to finish it off, and to help hold the table leg together. I am going to do another version of this concept in the future.
