And Then, In a Different Oz

15” tall, 11.5” wide, 6” deep (Free standing)

Imagine you’re at your old Royal Typewriter writing an alternative story in the emerald city of Oz. Maybe your story includes a cast iron buck and a clarinet player named Stosh. This cast iron buck was missing it’s antlers so I replaced them with mechanic’s wire. The backdrop is hand painted. The typwriter keys at the top as well as the mechanism at the bottom were removed from a broken Royal typewriter. The oak wood stage was intended to be the housing for a clock. It was salvaged from a clock maker’s shop. Apparently the clock maker had passed before he had a chance to finish the clock.
