This sculpture is just silliness. I just let my creativity flow for a little while with some odd-ball pieces. The math teacher’s head in the top box really kicked things off. I love it, but could not figure out how to use it, so I just put it in with other odd pieces like the businessman inside the round cage. I realized that things at work were a little haywire and I was using this piece as a way to take my mind off of it. If I’m looking for meaning I could say that I am the man in the cage. My father was a math teacher, and he passed away recently. The vines could represent the unattended garden of emotions and chaos at work. But who needs meaning? This is just a fun, silly sculpture that helped me find piece while I was creating it.
