Rise

16.25” tall, 12” wide, 2.5” deep (Wall Hanging)

I named this one “Rise” because the metal bird was found in the trash. Has only one leg and his neck has been broken. His head and beak look like that of a Phoenix. The round wooden carving on top might also resemble a rising sun. There is a piece of raw copper behind the bird which adds tons of character because of all of the colors in it. The glass door nobs catch light and bounce it off of everything. If the wood carving at the top represents the sun, then you might consider the wooden ball in the corner to be the moon. The frame of this piece is a fancy, old, in-box. I added the drawer pulls on the right and left sides which add an unintended Asian flare.
